      <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Local Partners program is part of our expanded national outreach effort. </p>  <p>Local Partners organize their communities and congregations in support of local and national children&#8217;s issues.</p>  <p>Promise the Children provides Local Partners with the following resources:<br />&nbsp; </p><p>-Legislative updates </p><p>-Activity plans and support for pre-existing programs that promote the well being of children and youth.<br /> </p><p>-Opportunities to connect with other Unitarian Universalists working on children&#8217;s issues.&nbsp;</p>  <p>We are looking for&nbsp;Unitarian Universalists&nbsp;who are dedicated to children and youth, and able to give a few hours each month to organizing in their congregations.</p>  <p>For more information or to sign-up today, please e-mail ]]></content:encoded>

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Promise the Children representatives have lead worship services at many Unitarian Universalist churches in Massachusetts. These services have helped us raise awareness of the issues facing young people. We have so much enjoyed sharing worships that we&#8217;ve decided to assist others, particularly lay leaders, in creating vibrant worships in their congregations.<br /> </p><p>Please join us as we create a Promise the Children handbook for worship. This handbook guide laypeople in creating worship services to raise awareness of issues facing children and youth.<br /> </p><p>If you have experience as a worship leader (lay or ordained) and can contribute, please e-mail PromiseTheChildren[at]gmail.com<br /></p><p> We welcome written submissions, including the following:</p><p>-Readings, prayers, songs, rituals, and other worship components.
