New Resource Available on Health Education Bill
Promise the Children is a proud member of CARE for Youth, a state-wide coalition that is working to keep kids safe and healthy. CARE for Youth is promoting legislation to implement comprehensive sexuality education in Massachusetts public schools.
CARE for Youth has launched a new website at http://www.careforyouthma.org This site includes special sections for parents, teens, educators and policy makers.
The main focus of CARE for Youth is passing the Health Education Bill. This legislation promotes the health and well-being of students. It requires public schools to provide information to students about substance abuse prevention, reproductive health, violence prevention, nutrition and other key health-related topics. With comprehensive information about their bodies and their choices, young people in the state will be able to protect themselves and make responsible decisions.
