Strategies For Children

Strategies for Children, Inc. (SFC) works to improve the well-being of children and families in Massachusetts and nationally through public policy, advocacy, research, constituency building and public awareness. SFC:

1. Is building a statewide movement to ensure that all children are proficient readers by the end of third grade.
2. Spearheads the pioneering work of the Early Education for All (EEA) Campaign, a statewide initiative to ensure all Massachusetts’ young children and families have access to high-quality early education.
3. Collaborates with the Irene E. and George A. Davis Foundation to build a model citywide effort to ensure that all children in Springfield, MA, read at grade level by the time they enter fourth grade.
4. Convenes leaders from business, early childhood, labor, religion, health care and other sectors to work together to improve children’s lives.
5. Provides technical assistance, consulting services and presentations to advocacy, philanthropic, business, academic and civic organizations committed to improving the lives of children and families.
